Our Story

3 Trees Farm is a family-run operation with origins in the 1920's. The land has been family owned and in 2004 Wayne and Betty Brown carved out a 5 acre plot to begin 3 Trees. Wayne and Betty had retired and wanted to spend their time blessing others with what God had blessed them with. Wayne had several health setbacks and in 2019 he went home to be with the Lord.

One of Betty's favorite stories is a book by Angela Elwell Hunt titled The Tale of Three Trees. Since Wayne and Betty had 3 Christian sons the story had significant connections for the family. Hence the name of the farm.

Currently the oldest Son, Steve, has recently retired and picked up the vision of what Wayne and Betty wanted. In 2025 he built a chicken coop and added 13 chickens to the farm. They are all productive egg layers. He next broke ground on 2 gardens. One near the chicken coop and one toward the back of the property.

Picking up on Wayne's desire to share with others, Steve has used a core of children from Valley View Church to learn about and work parts of the farm. They learn to use hand tools, tend to the garden, care for the chickens and share in the produce. There is always a connection to God's Biblical stories on the farm. Sowing and Reaping, good soil and seed, provision and blessing.

As the farm begins to be productive, we plan to offer some of the surplus in the roadside farm stand. Feel free to stop by and purchase some eggs or produce as they are seasonably available.
